Eiken Test Vocabulary

  1. Commemorate - to honor or remember an event or person in a special way. Example: The city will commemorate the victims of the disaster with a memorial service.

  2. Elaborate - to explain or add more information in detail. Example: The teacher asked the student to elaborate on his project.

  3. Enthusiastic - having or showing great excitement and interest. Example: The crowd was enthusiastic about the new band's performance.

  4. Flourish - to grow or develop successfully, often in an impressive way. Example: The company is flourishing under the leadership of its new CEO.

  5. Gratitude - a feeling of thankfulness or appreciation. Example: She expressed her gratitude towards her parents for their support.

  6. Incentive - something that motivates or encourages someone to do something. Example: The company offered its employees an incentive to improve productivity.

  7. Inconsistent - not consistent, not agreeing with what has been said or done before. Example: The witness's testimony was inconsistent with the evidence presented in court.

  8. Indispensable - essential, necessary, or absolutely required. Example: The new software is indispensable for the company's daily operations.

  9. Integrity - the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Example: She has always been known for her integrity and honesty.

  10. Innovative - introducing new ideas or methods. Example: The company's innovative products have revolutionized the industry.
